healthy holiday habits challenge

Updated: Nov 8

do you want to thrive this holiday season?

last year I wanted to come up with a way to share my love of habits with as many people as I could during the holiday season, it was so much fun, so I have to do it again this year!

in my experience creating intentional habits for myself and helping my clients to thrive, these five simple habits are the easiest to adopt into your daily routine and make the biggest difference as we are learning to thrive. to me thriving encompasses our whole selves, mind, body and spirit. if you are already doing them, great, keep doing them but join the challenge and increase them a bit.

i believe in doing small things everyday, because those small consistent things add up to big results.

these things are so small, you are going to argue that they can’t possibly make a difference. but i know that they do though, so much so, that i wanted to give you an incentive to try them out.

i wanted to think of a way that would be fun and competitive or bring friends together in a healthy challenge. i wanted to encourage people to try it out while also rewarding them for their efforts in fun ways this holiday season.

i am so grateful for the tiny changes i have made that have made a huge difference in my life, i narrowed it down to these 5 simple things that will help you start to grow a thriving life.

  1. mindfulness

  2. gratitude

  3. drink more water

  4. brain food

  5. movement

(i am sharing details about each of these five habits over the next few days before the challenge starts, so you know everything you need to about what, why & how)

this challenge is about doing these 5 things every single day, and reporting your follow through. once you join, you simply fill out a google form daily to get your points each day for the habits you do.

i know that you will not only enjoy the process of doing them, but you will learn the value of starting small in order to grow big. we are starting where you are, if you aren't doing any of these things, it'll be a 1 minute version of them.

the person with the most points on Thanksgiving Day Wins!

(you can start the challenge with extra points by inviting your friends to participate with you. each friend that uses your name in the entry form is a point you are ahead starting the challenge on Monday November 8, 2021).

The prizes are some of my favorite things that I love to gift during the holidays, I wanted to start early this season.

1st place is a Zyia Active Wear $100.00 gift card

2nd place is a lulu lemon everywhere belt bag

3rd place is a 30 oz. Yeti tumbler

4th place is a copy of one of my favorite habits books Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg

5th place is a pair my favorite cozy holiday socks Bombas

i practice mindfulness daily, i do at least ten minutes of guided meditations and simple thought awareness exercises. i end each day writing in a gratitude journal with 3 things i am grateful for. i drink lots of water every day. i eat several of these brain foods daily. i run a few miles a day. But I didn't start out doing these things, i simply started with the 1 minute version, like i am challenging you all to do. i was able to make the habits stick and then once they were firmly planted, i was able to grow them bigger. i have a lot of progress yet to make, of course, but it is such a joyous process i can't not share it with as many people as possible this holiday season.

the november challenge has already begun, so join me now for the december 2021, here. good luck friend!

do you lack self-discipline?

first, you have to know your outcome. how can you focus and discipline yourself to do something if you don’t even know what it is that you're after? most of us don’t lack self-discipline, we just have
